Knottingley Canoe Club Policies and Rules
In order to enjoy our paddling, we must all follow a number of “rules” and “guidelines”. These are based on common sense, safety, BCU recommendations, best practice and experience gained through many years of collective paddling.
These Policies, Rules and Guidelines have been agreed by the Knottingley Canoe Club members and are the basis upon which we run the club in a safe but friendly manner.
In simple terms, we have:
- Policies – which outline our principles and intentions and is the foundation to how we run the club
- Rules & Guidelines – outline the day to day do’s and don’ts of running our club. It’s what we do and how we do it
The policies cover the high level guiding principles. These include:
- Knottingley Canoe Club club charter
- Child protection policy
- Health and safety policy
- Coaching policy
